Handknitting was very new to me when I joined KOCO. Everyone was very patient and supportive, always helping the new knitters.
Normally I am an angry person. Now, with everyone treating each other in a friendly way, I have learned to be patient and polite. So I am seeing many positive changes in myself.
I am also learning to be organised and keep my time consistent for all my work. I enjoy working with my leader and all my friends here; we come from different places in the village but at work we are sisters.
I was a home maker before joining KOCO and always have to ask my husband for money. Now I can stand up for myself and buy what we need for our two children. We can manage to pay for their school fees.
If I met someone wearing a garment made by me I would ask if they are comfortable and feeling happy.
